Facial Acupuncture known as Facial Enhancement Acupuncture is a non-surgical skin revitalising and natural anti-ageing treatment. It focuses on traditional facial acupuncture points which when needed help the facial muscles to relax and improves the elasticity of the skin. Fine disposable facial acupuncture needles are inserted into the facial acupuncture points and intradermal needles into fine lines and wrinkles. This natural treatment leaves the skin looking radiant and youthful.
How does Facial Acupuncture improve your skin condition?
- Improves the skin tone and texture
- Stimulates collagen production which plumps the skin
- Increases cell regeneration which fills and smooths fine lines and wrinkles
- Increases blood circulation which encourages oxygenation, detox and lymph drainage
- Tightens muscles in the face and neck
- Improved sleep, energy and digestion
Experience shows that clients often feel more relaxed, sleep better, feel brighter and happier after acupuncture treatment.
Is Facial Acupuncture painful?
The needles used are very fine and are only inserted a few milimeters, you may however feel some pressure as the needle is inserted but most people find the process very relaxing.
What does the Treatment Involve?
The Facial Acupuncture sessions are 75 mins and involve the following.
Acupuncture Needles- Various sizes of needles are used during the treatment. Intradermal needles are used for the fine lines and wrinkles. Needles are left in for 20-30 mins.
Head and Hand Massage- While the needles are in, a head and hand massage are given to help with reducing stress and making your feel more relaxed.
Cupping Facial Massage- Facial cupping is performed after the needles have been removed. The suction cups help to stimulate blood and fluid/lymph movements. The suction also helps to relax muscle tension and lifts the skin. This can also help with decreasing and relaxing scar tissue. Cupping helps the skin to look plumper and more youthful.
Jade Roller Massage- Lymphatic massage which helps to also cool the skin after acupuncture treatment and to decrease under bags or dark circles.
Deep Tissue Facial Massage- Lymphatic massage which helps to also cool the skin after the acupuncture treatment and to decrease under eye bags or dark circles.
Dr. Alkaitis Facial Elixir- The perfect way to finish the treatment, together with Dr. Alkaitis Facial Oil. This 100% organic plant based elixir is packed with a blend of regenerative and restorative organic virgin cold pressed oils such as: echinacea, ginseng, turmerica, rosehip, hawthorne, and many more.
How long does it take to see results?
It is important not to expect too much from one session, this is a natural treatment not a surgery or injectable, results vary from client to client and it also depends on the health of your skin prior to starting your Facial Acupuncture sessions. A course of 6 treatments is often prescribed.
